Installing a LUDJET steering nozzle extension takes about 30 seconds and one tool. No drilling, no cutting, no permanent modification. This guide covers what fits your ski, what you need, and the exact steps.
Will it fit my ski?
I make model-specific extensions for Yamaha and Kawasaki. Find your ski below. Both 30mm and 50mm sizes are available for every model, in several colors.
- Yamaha SuperJet & WaveRunner 1990-2007
- Yamaha SuperJet 2008-2020
- Yamaha SuperJet 2021+
- Kawasaki 750 SX-i & 800 SX-R
- Kawasaki 1500 SX-R
Not sure which one is right, or riding a model not listed? Send me a photo of your steering nozzle before ordering and I will confirm the fit.
What you need
One flathead screwdriver. That is the only tool required.

Installation steps
- Remove the stainless steel clamp from the extension.
- Align the extension with the nozzle.
- Push the extension onto the nozzle.
- Install the stainless steel clamp.
- Tighten the clamp screw just enough to secure the extension. Do not over-tighten, you could crack the extension.
- Test your steering left and right to make sure the extended nozzle does not hit anything.
- You are ready to ride.
A note on tightening the clamp
The clamp only needs to hold the extension firmly in place. Over-tightening is the one way to damage the extension, so snug it down and stop. It's enough to keep it in place.
